Cards Cards Cards

I was in a Card Kit Swap and just recently got enough kits back to make about 50 cards. I've been creating like crazy, and have made about 35. Here are a few I'm most proud of:

The top two left are from the SG December kit, the shiny one actually has a wire flower on the foil, really cute in real life, but kind of hard to see here. Thanks for looking!

Bleaching

Yay! My Welcome Sign won a challenge category for Best Use of Bleaching Technique. 'WELCOME' was stamped with Castaway Stamp pad, then ironed to start the bleaching effect. Scroll stamp on either ends was stamped using regular household bleach. When using bleach or bleaching stamp pads, remember to use on un-coated cardstock and paper, and clean your stamps right away so the bleach does not damage them. A really neat effect with stamping. Other eays to use bleach: doodle with a Q-tip dipped in bleach, spray bleach onto cardstock, dab bleach on a tissue and then onto paper. Once the bleach dries completely the chemical process is over and the end product is safe to use in your scrapbook.

Loving the ScrapGoods October Kit!

This is my favorite recent LO. Done with Daisy Ds Gypsy Harvest Patterned Paper (part of SGs extra paper kit), prima flowers, and some diecut tags courteousy SG RAK. The pumpkin is hand cut, inked and chalked, with curled paper for the vines. Really cute in real life!

Ruby's LO is done with more Daisy Ds Gypsy Harvest Patterned Paper, painted chipboard letters (cut from Sizzix), and yellow ric rac.
Karis' LO was done using products from the SG October Main kit and Sizzix diecut letters.

SG Guest Designer

Okay, ScrapGoods, my monthly club I belong to, is featuring a Guest Designer the month of November. The Guest Designer gets their monthly kit early and for FREE! Hello, where do I sign up? Here is my Challenge submission - I hope I'm picked!

The Challenge: Create a Layout that incorporates the Good, the Bad,and the Ugly.

The GOOD: One product or technique you couldn't live without. This would be my Prima flowers! I love them and have A TON!

The BAD: One embellishment or tool that you 'had to have' and have never used. I used, for the first time in 3 years, the Creative Memories Title-Topia to curve the title SISTERS. And now it will go back to the bottom of my drawer never to be seen again!

The UGLY: One piece of patterned paper that you consider ugly and wouldn't otherwise use. This is the PaperHeartStudio Shorcake Collection - Apricot. It is the tiny sliver of PP between the green and polka paper. Hey, they didn't say I had to use the whole piece. I actually had trouble with this one, as I think this paper is hideous and did not want to ruin my LO by using it. I thought long and hard about choosing a prettier 'ugly' paper, but in the end, decided not to 'cheat'

Other than those requirements we could use anything else on the LO. Cross your fingers guys! Thanks for looking!

Recent Cards

Just some cards I've made; some for specific reasons, some for some online challenges I'm in, and some just because. Enjoy!

This is a card I did for ScrapGoods Anniversary. They've been in business for two years. I used September's Kit papers and Scratch Art technique. Email me if you are interested in learning more about SG.

Some Recent LOs

Dustin and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary on September 15th. This is a Happy Anniversary LO I did for him.

Hot Fun in the Summertime - Ruby and Sierra in the Pool - This is for Sierra's book, so the smaller pictures are of her that day. Ruby has one just like this with more pics of her for her book.
