More Layouts

Two Recent Layouts

This first layout was done with Love Elsie PP, fabric paper, bling bazzill, misc brads and Queen&Co Felt border. Its for the Q&Co Felt Frenzy Contest over at HappyNScrappin' The contest is open to anyone so check it out! And wish me luck ;-)
Added: this LO was featured in the "From the Gallery" section of the Creative Express Online Newsletter (10/26/07) :D

This layout was for a 'Telephone Scraplift' challenge at ScrapGoods. We have a layout to start that gets emailed to the first person on the list, who does her take on it. Then it goes to the next, and the next and the next. Kind of like playing 'Telephone' Its fun to see how the layout evolves. And we all use the current month's kit so it gives us more ideas on how to use our kit. Alhtough, I skipped the October SG kit - BLASPHEMY! so I used the March SG kit instead (us skippers were in our own group). Really liked how this one turned out :D

My Holiday Weekend

So even with my bad news on Friday, I was pretty productive this weekend. I made some cards for World Card Making Day (Saturday) for the DT Challenges over at Creative Express.

I also have been trying to get caught up on my albums. I'm only a few months behind (snicker snicker - at least its not a few DECADES!) So I made myself do some layouts this weekend as all I ever do is make cards anymore! LOL! Thanks for looking!

Thank You Card Challenge

Christmas Card Challenge

Halloween Card Challenge

Friendship Card Challenge

Birthday Card Challenge

This LO features the 'Clear Page' technique. This technique was featured in the September ScrapGoods kit. The idea is to make a clear page that 'sits' on top of a paper page. SG gave us these clear, thick pages that will slip right into a page protector! So here is what I did with mine. Love it, and now I'm not so intimidated by the clear albums I've been hoarding!

Top left: Clear page stacked on paper page. Top right: Front of clear page. Bottom left: Back of clear page. Bottom right: Paper page.

This is Sgt. Wills! Sierra loves to dress up in Daddy's uniform and help him recite the Airman's creed.

This LO is from July 4th. Karis was all snugggled up next to Mommy (it was about 50 degrees!) and out like a light after the fireworks. Such an adorable pic, one of my favorites!

Doodling LO. Just playing around with my pens and doodling! I can see a lot more doodling going on my LOs from now on!

This LO is for Karis' first birthday. The paper on both sides is the exact same, but I photographed them separately and this is what I got and I'm too lazy to do it over.

Thanks for looking!

Chipboard cards

Another {Caardvarks} challenge. Use chipboard on cards. The first one is a Maya road CB paisley that I painted and then stamped with at Technique Tuesday paisley stamp. PP is Fancy Pants and a K&Co rubon.

This is one of my favorite (recent) cards. The chipboard is embossed! Yes EMBOSSED! with the cuttlebug! I love that little green bug! I covered the chipboard with brown cardstock then embossed it and inked it to get it to pop. Thanks for looking!

Got one LO done for each of the girls!

So I've been in a scrapbook rut. Been making TONS of cards, but I can't seem to scrapbook. I decided to get myself out of my rut this weekend and scrap at least one page for each of the girls books. Here they are. Now, of course, I want to scrap more, and my printer is out of ink... again! GRRRR! I'm am ALWAYS buying ink, I should buy stock in HP Photosmart Ink Cartridges!!!

This LO is for the Gettin Sketchy September Challenge.

These next two layouts are done with the Daisy D's Fall in Love line. I was given these papers from my Secret Sister over at ScrapGoods. Incidentally, I was working on these layouts (and a card) while waiting for the topper to change and show the options for October. I had just finished Karis' LO when I went and the topper was changed!! And guess what paper is featured in October - LOL! Daisy D's Fall in Love!! Check out their site and order a kit if you love what I've done ;-)

Caardvarks Challenge

Did this card for the 'Eat More Fiber' challenge over at Caardvarks. Used Cosmo Cricket Storytime patterned paper, a Heidi Swapp chipboard 'b' and prima flowers with seed beed centers. I stitched the PP and pocket to the card with Stampin Up Soft Subtles purple fiber. I also wrapped the fiber around the 'b' to cover. Thanks for looking :D

Cards

Okay, so I've been making some cards lately. I had entered a card contest so I made a few to decide which one to send. Then the host never received my original card (which I don't have a pic of) so I ended up sending a horizontal version of the polka dot 'Thinking of You' below. Dustin picked the black one for me to send (and that one is my least fav.) I still think the original one I had was the best, but like I said, I don't have a pic, and I ran out of the paper I used to make it. Oh well :D

Look What I Did Today

So I'm in a Secret Sister Swap on ScrapGoods and this month we have to send our Sister an altered item. This is what I did today. I am so in love with it that I'm going to have to pry it out of my fingers to send to her. The item is a Maya Road chipboard drawer. Patterned Paper is Cosmo Cricket Dutch Girl. Then some misc. stuff from my stash! The Quote reads "A girl should be two things: Classy and Fabulous Coco Chanel" And its hard to see in the pictures, but the center of every red flower there is a red crystal. Oh, and the red trim is a Doodlebug Paper Frill. I even have goodies for her in the drawers!

Pretty Busy!

Been busy lately trying to use up my never-ending stash (mostly so I can justify ordering more! LOL!) The one good thing is I finally got my Mom's Disney Album finished. Although I'm thinking of holding it ransom for my Wedding Album (I'll be married 6 years in Sept!)

My Grandma DeSalvo also had given me a bunch of pictures of me growing up. I would LOVE to get more of my childhood pictures to scrap (HINT HINT MOM!!!!) This LO is of me and my sister in Sept 1986. The new Love, Elsie Roxie collection so reminded me of the 80s so everything on this LO is from this line.
This is the last page of my Mom's Disney Album. This is my first 'freestyle' LO. I really enjoyed it, so much fun doodling all over the place. Dustin made fun of my car ride and sunglasses :D
Added: this LO was featured on Multi-Photo Scrapbook Layout Blog (9/15/07 - scroll down on the page)

I had entered this LO in a contest for a create your own flowers, but sadly did not place. Oh well, still a cute LO.

My little Mischeif Maker. This one was for a challenge to only use 3 colors. At first I thought it could not be done! But I finished and am quite pleased.

This LO was for an Ad Challenge. This is just about the only pic I have of my brother from our MONTH in Arizona and week at Disneyland!

Ruby Reading. This was for the Chatterbox Doodle Genie Contest. The doodles in the corners are from the Whimsical stencil.
Thanks for looking :D Of course there is lots more but I'm too lazy to take pics unless I really love the LO or its for a contest - LOL!

Thanks Danice!

I did a Secret Sister Swap last fall, and Danice (dulittle) on ScrapGoods was my Secret Sister. Well, she was so very awesome and got me a 3 month sub to Scrap Til Dawn!!! One of the kits was the A2Z Funky Hip Cool line. When I first got it, I was all YUCK! and I filed it away. Well, I pulled it out last month and I LOVE THIS STUFF! LOL! I have used every last bit of paper, and am saving a few scraps for cards! YUM! Thank you so much Danice!!

These first two images are for my BPS 52 Card PickUp class. It goes for 10 weeks and we learn 52 different techniques and tips. It is so much fun!

Karis being cute, as usual. I am entering this LO in the ScrapScene 'Create a Flower' contest. :D

This is a mini album made from CDs. I got the album in a kit from ScrapGoods. This will go to my sister Libby when I next mail a box to them.

California Adventures LO for my Mom's Disney Album. Only three more LOs to do and that baby is DONE!
