Cards
Okay, so I've been making some cards lately. I had entered a card contest so I made a few to decide which one to send. Then the host never received my original card (which I don't have a pic of) so I ended up sending a horizontal version of the polka dot 'Thinking of You' below. Dustin picked the black one for me to send (and that one is my least fav.) I still think the original one I had was the best, but like I said, I don't have a pic, and I ran out of the paper I used to make it. Oh well :D

Look What I Did Today
So I'm in a Secret Sister Swap on ScrapGoods and this month we have to send our Sister an altered item. This is what I did today. I am so in love with it that I'm going to have to pry it out of my fingers to send to her. The item is a Maya Road chipboard drawer. Patterned Paper is Cosmo Cricket Dutch Girl. Then some misc. stuff from my stash! The Quote reads "A girl should be two things: Classy and Fabulous Coco Chanel" And its hard to see in the pictures, but the center of every red flower there is a red crystal. Oh, and the red trim is a Doodlebug Paper Frill. I even have goodies for her in the drawers!

Pretty Busy!
Been busy lately trying to use up my never-ending stash (mostly so I can justify ordering more! LOL!) The one good thing is I finally got my Mom's Disney Album finished. Although I'm thinking of holding it ransom for my Wedding Album (I'll be married 6 years in Sept!)
My Grandma DeSalvo also had given me a bunch of pictures of me growing up. I would LOVE to get more of my childhood pictures to scrap (HINT HINT MOM!!!!) This LO is of me and my sister in Sept 1986. The new Love, Elsie Roxie collection so reminded me of the 80s so everything on this LO is from this line.
This is the last page of my Mom's Disney Album. This is my first 'freestyle' LO. I really enjoyed it, so much fun doodling all over the place. Dustin made fun of my car ride and sunglasses :D
Added: this LO was featured on Multi-Photo Scrapbook Layout Blog (9/15/07 - scroll down on the page)
I had entered this LO in a contest for a create your own flowers, but sadly did not place. Oh well, still a cute LO.
My little Mischeif Maker. This one was for a challenge to only use 3 colors. At first I thought it could not be done! But I finished and am quite pleased.
This LO was for an Ad Challenge. This is just about the only pic I have of my brother from our MONTH in Arizona and week at Disneyland!
Ruby Reading. This was for the Chatterbox Doodle Genie Contest. The doodles in the corners are from the Whimsical stencil.
Thanks for looking :D Of course there is lots more but I'm too lazy to take pics unless I really love the LO or its for a contest - LOL!

Thanks Danice!
I did a Secret Sister Swap last fall, and Danice (dulittle) on ScrapGoods was my Secret Sister. Well, she was so very awesome and got me a 3 month sub to Scrap Til Dawn!!! One of the kits was the A2Z Funky Hip Cool line. When I first got it, I was all YUCK! and I filed it away. Well, I pulled it out last month and I LOVE THIS STUFF! LOL! I have used every last bit of paper, and am saving a few scraps for cards! YUM! Thank you so much Danice!!
These first two images are for my BPS 52 Card PickUp class. It goes for 10 weeks and we learn 52 different techniques and tips. It is so much fun!
Karis being cute, as usual. I am entering this LO in the ScrapScene 'Create a Flower' contest. :D
This is a mini album made from CDs. I got the album in a kit from ScrapGoods. This will go to my sister Libby when I next mail a box to them.
California Adventures LO for my Mom's Disney Album. Only three more LOs to do and that baby is DONE!

Another LO
Okay, so the design is lifted from a Dec 06 CK LO, but I really liked how this turned out. Flowers are stamped on PP and then cut out. Pic of two of my sisters at Balboa Island Pier. I will slowly but surely get the CA trip and Disneyland album done.

National Scrapbook Day Crop
Saturday was National Scrapbook Day. I 'attended' an online crop at ScrapGoods. It was only one day, but I was busy all day long! Here are the LOs I got done. Thanks for looking!
We had to gather inspiration from a card. Below is the card from Vanessarfox at ScrapGoods. She is our resident Card Queen. My LO is next.
This challenge was to use three of the techniques from past ScrapGoods kits. I used Mola (cutting and layering for the word GIRL in the title) Doodled on the flower and made a Journal Space with the covered chipboard. Ruby has really been trying my patience lately, so this was some 'scrap-therapy'. Journaling reads: This is Ruby right before she turned 2. Isn't she adorable? I must remind myself this on a daily basis now that she is well into her terrible twos! Pray she makes 3!
This was a sketch challenge. I had pictures from the Parade at Disneyland but they were so dark I couldn't get them to show up well on light paper, and dark paper really darkened them more. Then I got the idea for a dark background with white around the edges of the pictures to make them 'pop' They are still a little dark, but way better! Oh, and I had to upload by a deadline, and my printer was being slow and hadn't printed out 3 of the pictures yet. So now there are pictures all across the top and bottom.
This LO was to use a picture of ourself and do a LO about the days of our life. So here is my interpretation. I'm too lazy to write out the journaling... maybe you can read it.
This LO is for a challenge where we were supposed to find pictures that portrayed the words Dream, Sweet, Honest, Delight and Orange. Picture of Karis sleeping is Sweet Dream, pic of her Eating is Orange (face), and pic of her is Honest Delight. :-)
This LO is for a challenge where we could only use three things in addition to pictures and cardstock. The things were 2 pieces of patterned paper, 5 flowers (with any center), and a stamp or template. Patterned paper as base and matting around picture. made the 5 flowers into 4 by layering and used buttons for centers. And the stamp is the zig zag stitch at the bottom of the title. Title is Cassie and her Cluck Cluck written on maroon cardstock. Used green cardstock for flower stems. Pic of my sister Cassie and Ruby.

Just some recent LOs done of the girls. Karis' LO was for a designer challenge, Sierra's was just a Christmas LO, and Ruby's was for a telephone scraplift challenge.
I've also been making lots of cards for Paper Crafts Magazine Royal Stampers contest. They will choose 20 winners and each get a bundle of stamps and accessories worth $250. Check it out at www.papercraftsmag.com but don't submit stuff better than mine! Just kidding! ;-)

WOW!
Happy New Year everyone! I attended an 'Online' Crop this weekend. Here is what I got done... I'm pretty proud of all the awesome pages I got out of the challenges and games! Wow, even uploading the pictures I'm amazed at all the LOs I got done (and a few cards too)
Challenge: Ad for Inspiration. We were given a magazine ad and supposed to draw inspiration from it. I'm too lazy to find the ad right now and post, but it was the Fancy Pants paper ad that had a hand cut heart and clock. So I used FP Free spirit paper, handcut the green flourish, and made a circle (clock) out of flowers. Quote says one must have sunshine, laughter and a little flower. Plaque says 'My Flower". Pic of Mommy and Sierra - my flower.

Challenge: Use and edged cardstock. Pictures of our Kare-bear. Bazzill cardstock with an edge (mini scalloped) Chatterbox Villa papers, Cricut for the title. Sorry for the fuzzy pic, I was under time contraints to get it uploaded in time!

Challenge: 2 pieces of patterened paper, ribbon, brads and rubons. Rubons are the title 'Bug Eyes" Ribbon is the ribbon flower to the left of Sierra's picture (green, easier to see in real life). SEI Doodley Girl PP
Challenge: Sketch. We had to follow a specific sketch. And it had to have pictures on it. The picture of me is going to be replaced with a 5x7 of Sierra on her 4th birthday. Pics down the left are at 1, 2, and 3 years old. SEI Doodley Girl PP, Cricut for the title.
Challenge: Person who Inspires you. My Grandma DeSalvo. I will add journaling later, but it will say how my Grandma taught me to cook, bake and sew. I was a chubby kid and I remember her helping me make the 'cool' clothes in my size when I was younger. I will always love her for that! I love you Grandma! Homeschool Plaid paper, made the wire photo corner, and my cricut cut the title - again, gotta love the bug.
Challenge: Monochromatic LO with 3 pictures. Everything had to be from the same color family on the LO - I cheated with the Rubons - LOL!
Challenge: Scraplift Challenge. I lifted the LO design from a design memeber at SG. Cosmo Cricket Storytime PP, handcut circle, tab and heart and traced in black pen - such a pain, but turned out really cute.
Challenge: Use pics you've been meaning to scrap. I already did these for Ruby and Sierra's book, but I wanted a page abou the 'Ucky Punkins' for my album, so here you go. Daisy Ds Gypsy Harvest PP, corduroy ric rac, Jolee's scrabble tiles for title.

Whew... thanks for looking! I had fun and got some awesome pages!
